(12/3/11) Chapter 8 Tournament Indoor Association Announces New Benefit For All Performers

At the December 3, 2011 general meeting of members of Tournament of Bands Chapter 8, it was voted that Chapter 8 will contract to have a sound system and a sound system operator at each 2012 Chapter 8 Tournament Indoor Association event.

This addition will allow for a uniform sound at each show and also take the burden of potentially poor and broken sounds systems away from the performers, staffs, audience members and show hosts.

In order to fund this addition to the 2012 performances, each organization (not each individual unit) will be assessed a $35 fee payable to Tournament of Bands Chapter 8. Chapter 8 will cover half of the sound system contract fee and the $35 fee assessed to each organization will cover the other half. This $35 fee is due prior to any organization's performances in 2012. Fees are to be turned into chapter coordinator, Martin Altman.

In addition, each unit must provide a CD with their 2012 music on it at their first Chapter 8 performance of the year. This CD will be retained by the sound system contractor and used for the entire 2012 season. This move will cause less confusion and a more professional presentation for all particiapting in Chapter 8 events.

 

(12/3/11) TIA Announces Wildwood Weekend Information

You will be able to register online, then print copies and mail one along with your $500 deposit beginning Jan. 1, 2012. (Note: You may mail your Entry Form and $500 deposit check at any time prior to Jan. 1, 2011 - however All checks received prior to Jan. 1, 2012 will be marked RECEIVED on 1/1/2012.)

The cut-off date for your $500 deposit and registration forms is March 1, 2012.

The date we receive your $500 deposit is your official Registration Date for seeding purposes.

The Wildwood Weekend dates are Thursday May 3 through Sunday May 6, 2012.

The Instrumental and Choral Music Festival will be Friday evening, May 4th at the Middle PAC.

The TIA Atlantic Coast Jazz finals will be held Saturday evening, May 5th at the Middle PAC.

There will be NO PRICE INCREASE this year for our units, staff and chaperones.

All Event Wristband with...two (2) nights housing @ $125 per person (minimum 2 per room)
All Event Wristband with three (3) nights housing @ $150 per person (minimum 2 per room)
All Event Wristband with...four (4) nights housing @ $175 per person (minimum 2 per room)

There will be an moderate price increase for individual parents, friends, family and guests who require a motel room for 1 person. That rate will be $80 per night - which also includes one (1) All Event Wristband.

Parent and Guest Rooms for 2-3-4 or more persons per room will remain the same as last year.
